Not all of the following classes are offered at all clubs.
A.F.A.P. Aquatics:
A national program developed by the Arthritis Foundation (AF) and the YMCA, improves and sustains participants' joint mobility, muscle tone, functional endurance and independence. Gentle movements increase joint flexibility and range of motion, while restoring or maintaining muscle strength. The program incorporates the buoyancy of water and the soothing warmth of heated pool to create a safe, ideal environment for relieving arthritis and stiffness. 1 hr. class
Cardio Kick:
Punch, Kick, & Step. An hour of martial arts & Sculpting. A great upper and lower body workout. 1 hr. class
In-Shape Kids:
This program is designed for children to embark on a creative adventure in fitness & wellness. What kids are interested in is “fun & play” so we have developed a concept that fitness & exercise is fun & will make them feel great. Ages 4-7years & Ages 8-12yrs.
Muscle Blast:
The ultimate in body sculpting. A complete workout using the body bar. Take this class to improve muscle strength, tone, & define. Expect to sweat, Expect to work, Expect results! Finally relax and let go with 15 minutes of stretch and relaxation. 1 hr. class
Pilates Essentials:
Experience the non-intimidating group environment to build sound fundamental techniques in Pilate's movements. Learn breathing techniques, core activation and more! 1 hr. class
Power Cycling:
Take the ride of your Life. Group cycling accurately replicates the feel of the cycle on the road. Experience hills, flat terrenes and jumps using various sitting and standing positions. Power cycling is for everyone, at any age, and any fitness level. It is simple, easy to learn and a great workout. 45 min- 1 hr. class
Strep Interval:
This class involves alternating between aerobic conditioning and strength work. This helps to increase lean muscle mass, cardiovascular endurance and decrease body fat. 1hr.
Step N' Sculpt:
A combination of choreographed step movements followed by various body toning exercises incorporating bands, body bars, & weights. 1 hr. class
Turbo Kick:
Turbo kick is a fun and exciting non-contact program. Turbo Kick is designed with an athletic warm-up, a cardio section, using intervals of kick boxing drills, followed by work recovery. 1 hr. class
Total Body Challenge:
This class incorporates cardio with the latest craze of Hip-Hop Abs, sculpting, and core training. 1 hr.
Waterworks I & II:
A low to moderate paced class designed for those who want a fun yet challenging cardio vascular workout. Hand held buoys are used for muscle conditioning. All levels. 1 hr. class
Yoga:
Yoga is the concentration on balance of mind, body, breathing and increased flexibility. 1 hr class
Zumba:
This dance-based cardio class includes various types of music, Hindu, Arabic, American, and of course Latin. All levels welcome. 1 hr. class
