In-Shape answers pleas

Opinion - Letters to the Editor - Modesto Bee

Quite a few of us pleaded with the In-Shape Corporation office not to tear down the enclosing outer wall of the small pool area of the old YMCA facility. We sincerely hoped the availability of the pool for our therapy needs would be maintained when they revisited their plans for redesigning and improving the building. Through letters to The Bee, city hall meetings and direct pleadings with the In-Shape Corporation personnel, our voices were heard. People needing to rebuild or maintain their mobility will be able to resume the recommendations of their doctors, therapists and friends with the assurance that the four-foot heated therapy pool will again be available when the facility will be completed next summer.

We commend the In-Shape Corporation's willingness to listen to the expressed needs of this large segment of the population of the Modesto area.
