IN-SHAPE HEALTH CLUBS Announces New Salinas Location

Company acquires Elite Fitness and continues to grow in the area.

SALINAS, CA (May 20, 2011) – In-Shape Health Clubs has announced its acquisition of Elite Fitness at 1038 North Davis Road and plans to build a brand new state-of-the-art health club next door. The new facility will compliment the three clubs In-Shape has built in nearby Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove
this past year and brings the company’s overall total to 45 statewide. In-Shape is one of the fastest-growing fitness and health companies in the country, offering In-Shape “Sport”, “City”,
and “Fitness” locations to members throughout California.

The new In-Shape Sport: Salinas will feature a heated indoor pool and spa, top-of-the-line cardio and weight training equipment, a huge Kids Club with separate play areas for toddlers and big kids, FREE group exercise and certified personal trainers. The new facility is expected to be finished next winter.

In-Shape will utilize the Elite Fitness space as a temporary workout center for members while the new club is built next door. Immediate improvements such as adding new equipment, flat-screen TVs, childcare services, and more group classes will bring value to members right away.

Members can also opt for a Platinum level membership, which gives full access to all In-Shape locations for pools, tennis and racquetball courts, and other amenities.In-Shape operates 3 additional clubs in the area.
