Why Pilates

As a "genius of the body," Joseph H. Pilates created a method of total body conditioning that emphasized proper alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing, and flow that resulted in increased flexibility, strength, muscle tone, body awareness, energy, and improved mental concentration. All of our Pilates Instructors are Nationally Certified and provide safe and effective exercises.

Pilates Essentials

 

In-Shape invites you to the Essential fundamentals of Mat Pilates training. Experience the non-intimidating group environment to build sound fundamental techniques in Pilates movements. Learn breathing techniques, core activation and more!

Intermediate Pilates

Intermediate Pilates is progressive and challenging for all fitness levels. Elevate your Pilates Essentials into intermediate movements by utilizing small apparatuses from magic circles, foam rollers, toning balls and more! Intermediate Pilates begins the first level of exclusive training to provide individualized attention in a group setting. Begin to Re-Shape TM , lengthen and strengthen your body!

Reformer I & II

Learn the perfect balance of strength development with the Pilates Reformer. Enhance your level of difficulty by utilizing Mat Pilates methods with various spring loads. Reform your body by intensifying flexibility, strength and torso stability with the benefits of correcting muscular and postural imbalances. Reformer exercises are carefully selected according to the client's fitness level and health history.

Specialty Training

 

In-Shape offers Specialty One-on-One and Group Training Pilates for Sports, Special Conditions (i.e. Pregnancy), Dance and Mature Adult populations. Specialty trainings include the use of Small Apparatus, C-Shaper, and Towers, in addition to a comprehensive Fitness Assessment, Postural Analysis, Client Specific Programming and Individual Coaching.
